And yes, things do make humans purr, if that's your next question. We all have things that cheer us up, that make us smile, that light us up a little inside...and here are some of my current faves:
The things that make me purr...
Getting postcards, especially from people I haven't heard from in a while...
Warm cosey evenings with a glass of wine and some cheap-as-chips preChristmas candy...
Patrick Watson...
Looking at pics from Canada and remembering all the fun and banter, and looking forward to Spain...
Good books...
Jimmy Eat World...
Hugs, whether from friends or kids...
Daydreams (sigh)...
Regina Spektor...
Singing (both the school band and worship band are busy in the run up to Christmas :-))...
Buying Christmas gifts...
Wrapping Christmas gifts...
Writing Christmas cards...
Having people over, whether it's for coffee, or dinner, or drinks, or a sleepover...
My penguin pyjamas (Thanks again Christy!) which you could fit two of me in...
My Christmas tree...
My crazy family, who sent my birthday cards FOUR WEEKS early...
Long hot baths with far too many bubbles...
Those extra 5 minutes you steal in bed after the alarm goes off in the morning...
Text messages of randomness...
So yes, life's a little stressful at the mo, and pretty upsetting at times, but I'm going to roll with the punches once more...because that's what it's all about :-). I hope there are plenty of things that make you purr this murky grey November day...
Love, as always,
Cxx
