Well first and foremost, I am definitely not writing this in my PJs at ten-twenty on a Monday morning on a lovely Monday morning. What a silly thing that would be to do...
Likewise, on Friday I didn't get in from work and curl up to read 'Twilight' (which I'm totally not reading, either. I don't need to read a teenage vampire love saga, because I'm a proper grown up, me. It would conflict with my busy big girl schedule of doing chores and reading important books like Anna Karenina ;)), and promptly fall asleep for four hours. I'm way too mature for naps....
I did not choose to have just carrot sticks and dip for supper the other evening. Naturally I produced a home-cooked, nutritionally balanced feast, and did the dishes straight afterwards. As ever.
I certainly didn't panic about a particular sum on my credit card for a good three hours before I realised that it was in fact payment for a doohickey on my car. So naturally I wasn't relieved that I hadn't called the emergency helpline straight away (as the regular one was closed. Or not. Oh, this not me stuff can be confusing!).
I definitely didn't *just* get round to seeing 'Slumdog Millionaire'. I mean, with half a degree in film I always take care to watch all the big new films and mull them over in good time, the better to appreciate their artistry. Or something.
I am not spending a lot of online time discovering new blogs and catching up with old favourites. It's totally not a blessing to have the time to do this.
I did not realise yesterday, as I drove around in the glorious spring sunshine, that my car hasn't been washed properly in months. There was not a small film of grime on it to give this away.
And speaking of driving, I certainly didn't get lost on the way home from the movies yesterday, taking one wrong turn which resulted in my touring not one, not two, but three counties. Noooooooooooooooooooooo.
Et finallement, I did not discover a great new online music gadget, full of lots of stuff, including much great new hip music, and then spend an entire morning listening to country music, Tina Turner, and Cher. That doesn't sound like me at all.
How about you?
Love,
Cxx
I found your blog via Scarlet's.
ReplyDeleteLove this post! I'm not really listening to Billy Joel, because I'm cool and hip and my cd collection is full of Ice Cube, Dr Dre and 2Pac.
I did not forget to bring my keys to work after being on vacay for a week.
ReplyDeleteack, these are always hard to follow and even harder to think up for myself.
ReplyDeletealso, moved my blog from blogger to wordpress:

Thanks for visiting my blog earlier and commenting! Love this "not me Monday" post... I keep meaning to do one, and even had several ready this week before reading about Stellan. Alright, off to read more! :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Thanks for the smiles this morning. :)
