Blast from the past

On Saturday Matthew and I went up to Forres for a whirlwind visit. It was so nice to be 'home' for a wee bit and to catch up with so many folk! I love having a place as cool as Forres to call my hometown. We spent some fun time with friends and caught up with my parents too.

The big reason for heading up was the 30th birthday of my sweet friend Erin. She and I have been friends since we rocked the woodwind section in our school orchestra and have remained friends through a fair few seasons since then, so it was lovely to be able to head up and help her celebrate.

Her party was held in the Mosset, the dance hall (for want of a better description!) where we'd go dancing every Friday and Saturday night most weeks of fifth and sixth year. Even though it's been totally refurbished, to be back in that room was quite the blast from the past! Especially when you consider the soundtrack was very 90s heavy and there were more than a few familiar faces from high school there too!

Some photos from the party:

Mmmmm....shall we go to the Speedy Pepper on the way home?

Such a fun weekend...now back to the London whirl though. An awful lot going on here at the moment - details to follow in the coming weeks. Have a super Tuesday!
