Project Life Tuesday: Jan 1st-8th

Linking up with the lovely Jessica for Project Life Tuesdays. Last year I only made it to mid-February, but I am hoping to learn from my mistakes and to improve on this in 2012! I'll be blogging my entries every fortnight as it seems more reasonable to give time to the project every other week what with all the other things going on!

This first bunch of shots are all instagram ones, but I promise to fish out my camera and get some better shots next time.

January 1st 2012!

Matthew and I started the New Year with champagne and cuddles at home in Chalk Farm.

Monday 2nd January

Was a day of organising and looking forward to the year ahead. One of my goals for the year is to read my 'to read' pile shows, there's plenty to be getting on with!

Tuesday 3rd January

Another start-of-year-sorting day, thsi time getting ready for the return to school. With having been so rundown for the latter part of the autumn term, I was really ready to get back to it!

Wednesday 4th January

One of the advantages of getting back to early starts is definitely the beautiful sunrises we have at this time of year. Gorgeous skies.

Thursday 5th January

As this was my first day back teaching, not much time was afforded to be snapping, so instead I took this picture of the words we have on our dining table as I collapsed with a hardearned cup of decaf at the end of the day!

Friday 6th January

Time to take down Dave the tree. I tend to feel little melancholy taking down Christmas, but the week had been fun and I had a girldate with Eileen to look forward to, so I was fine!

Saturday 7th January

A busy day of house viewing and CT scans, but plenty of fun too. I got to spend oodles of time with the lovely Payal, and these posh pigeons fussing over ciabatta cracked me up :)

Sunday 8th January

A nice chilled day, including a lovely girldate with Siobhan where we caught up over lots of tea. This is the Masonic Temple, which is opposite our preferred spot (the Lowlander)

Note to self: next time, get pictures of people too!

  1. Love how you are documenting with photos and journaling right on your blog.

  2. Great how your pics really give a sense of how your week went.

    Love the stack of books.

  3. Only making it to February last year shouldn't be thought of as failure. You got a whole month documented! In my world that is accomplishing something!

  4. Love your photos! I too only have photos so far for PL. I also noticed your sidebar with your new years resolutions....great idea! and you live in London?? My dream is to visit England!! Have a great day!

  5. Love that big ole stack of books! The pile on my side table is growing as well. Maybe I'll take a picture of that this week!

  6. The sunrise pic is beautiful indeed!

  7. One of my goals is to read more, but I don't have such a great stack! I've been requesting them from the library, but I'd much rather just keep them all in my living room! Do you keep all of those once you've read them or resell them on ebay or something?

Thank you for your comment - I do read them all but it may take me a little while (a couple of days) to respond during busy times. I love reading what you have to say!

Have a wonderful day!
