Project Life Tuesday: May 28th - June 3rd

Linking up with the lovely Jessica, as ever!

The Mom Creative

This week started with a fizz rather than a bang, as on Monday I was lain low with stomach flu.  It had been going around my form for the week preceding, so it wan't unexpected.  But it was unpleasant!  Luckily a tonne of sleep and lots of fluids had me feeling well enough to head into work on Tuesday and positively tiptop by the close of the week.  Huzzah!

Tuesday, May 29th:  Feeling very summery at school, as well as ridiculously busy (as ever!).  Reports plus exam setting plus jubilee preparations had me chasing my tail a little.  But I still managed to smile!

One of many schedules I was trying to keep up with!

In funner(is that a word?) news, my new iPhone arrived.  My old one was getting more and more sleepy and the battery kept on giving out after a few hours, so over the weekend I'd arranged a new one and a decent contract for it.  Still learning on it and have only transferred about 1/10th of my contacts across from my other phone, causing much hilarity when people text!
Wednesday, May 30th: Another hectic day at work - my double English/double English Wednesday afternoon never fails to kick my butt!  Then I met Eileen for a night at the movies.  We couldn't get in to see the movie we wanted to (What To Expect When You're Expecting) so we went for dinner and to see The Dictator instead.  The Dictator was awful.  Really, really bad.  But as ever, Eileen's company was uniformly charming :-).

Thursday, May 31st: Another reason why I love my class.  I rocked up to school with my wet hair pulled back in a ponytail and the boys were all "Oooooh, Miss T, your hair looks pretty today!"  So good with a compliment, my wee gentlemen.  Mad props go to the boy who exclaimed "Mummy said that slicked back hair is very in right now!"
Matthew had a work drinks thing on Thursday evening, so I curled up with a Claire-tea of cheese, bread and fruit, to watch the season finale of Grey's Anatomy.  Which was absolutely heartbreaking, and also tres annoying.  What a cliffhanger to leave us on for seven months!

Friday, June 1st: School was all about the Jubilee, with a 90 minute pageant performed by staff and boys, as well as afternoon tea, and patriotic singing.  Great fun and I have pictures from it on my class blog and in my book, but I don't put pictures of my pupils on here :-).  Friday also marked the beginning of half-term break (woo!), and Matthew and I celebrated by having dinner with the lovely Brigitte and Dan at Bodean's.  Best pulled pork sandwich in the city, and even the pigs were feeling festive!

Saturday,June 2nd: A very chilled day.  Laura and James came over for tea and football and cheesey reality TV (The Voice).  I did take pictures of the group, but they were all fuzzy, so instead here's me in my patriotic tee, with our union flag footstool.  Ha!

Sunday, June 3rd: A grey, cold and drizzly day!  Over a million people headed into central London to watch the flotilla - I'm afraid to say we didn't instead staying indoors to watch on the TV and make a traditional Sunday roast for supper!  I also strated trying to make sense of the mess of my study - after photo to follow in next week's Project Life.

Thank you for your comment - I do read them all but it may take me a little while (a couple of days) to respond during busy times. I love reading what you have to say!
