I'm thankful for my health and happiness. I know so many people who are having to deal with sickness and ill health, and I know I'm very lucky to be as hale and hearty as I am.
I'm thankful for Matthew and our relationship, in all its silly, busy, private wonder. I love him to pieces and am so grateful to have a partner who understands me and who supports me so wholeheartedly. And who puts up with my oddness so very, very well.
I'm thankful for my family, and for Matthew's family. I love sharing the journey that is this life with them all!
I'm thankful for my friends, and all they bring to my life! Fun and laughter and understanding. What a joy to "do life" with them.
I'm thankful for our beautiful home. We've worked hard to buy a place of our own and while homeownership can provide plenty of thrills and spills, it is divine to sit on our own sofa in our own sitting room in our own home. Makes all the sacrifices, the long hours, the holidays-not-taken and cocktails skipped worth it.
I'm thankful for our cats. Those little furballs make me smile every day.
I'm thankful for my past. It wasn't always pleasant, and some of it I'll never truly leave behind, but the life I have now, the life I love, grows out of and reacts to my past. So I'm thankful.
I'm thankful for my nation. The UK isn't perfect, but so much of it I adore - the humour, the stiff upper lip, the puddings! I am proud to be British. I feel so lucky to live in a country with such opportunities.
I'm thankful for my job. I love what I do, and getting to spend each and every day with kids is just so rewarding! I truly believe in what I do, and I'm grateful for students and colleagues that make it a pleasure.
I'm thankful for my education. Growing up I never even dreamed I'd get a degree, let alone a postgrad qualification. I am so glad to live in a country where little girls from my background can work hard and do well!
I'm thankful for my faith. It's a personal and private kind of faith, but I treasure it deeply.
I'm thankful for naps and sleeps and time to relax!
I'm thankful for music and singing.
I'm thankful for blogging and for all that blogging brings -friendships & inspiration.
I'm thankful for the written word.
I'm thankful for JLL and Join Me. What a joy to be able to help, to be kind.
If you're reading this, I'm thankful for you.
