But now spring has sprung and the lighter mornings and longer days are inspiring me to make the little changes (and the bigger ones!) necessary to tone up, drop pounds and do this. I'm getting back into cross-training and rowing a few times a week at home, am planning some lovely walks, both solo and with friends, and have joined the new Easygym that opens in Oxford Circus next month - I'm looking forward to Zumba, Pilates and Aerobics classes.
As ever, Pinterest has been golden when it comes to gleaning ideas, motivation and things to try. Here are a few recent favourites from my 'Move It And Lose It' board.
A slightly odd photo but a great website for calculating calories needed to lose weight, water requirements etc. I'm finding it so helpful!
I'm blessed enough to be something of a sleep ninja, but I'm enjoying doing this yoga cycle before bed a few times a week. Hopefully it'll make me a little more flexible - I'm too sturdy for my own good!
I am ever so slightly terrified of Jillian, but the woman gets results! Love this quote!
My friend Emily pinned this and I now have a copy in the sitting room. Great way to incorporate a little movement into what is all too often a sedentary part of the day!
Healthy, filling snacks. I love toast and PB, yogurt, and veggies, and this site has all kinds of wonderful suggestions too!

That first pic is a good pic of you ;)
ReplyDelete12 lbs is nothing to sneeze at, good on you! I started stretching a few months ago to help with post-illness pain and I still do it as it makes me feel great. I think I'd pass out in the yoga position though ;)
