We toured the usual hotspots (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square...) in a vintage red bus. While having afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea, you guys! Tea and sandwiches without crusts and cakes and scones! All whilst whizzing around London on a gorgeous sunny Sunday. Fantastic. Even though I've lived here almost 6 years, I never tire of taking in the sights of this super city. It was also fun to point out a few hidden gems and places I like to a new audience as we travelled through the city. The bus was packed with fun bloggers, a few of whom I'd met before and some who were brand new to me. These events are always a great way to connect with new blogs and bloggers.
We all met by the London Eye, where the lovely Haydy from Joes Bloggers greeted us, labelled us up and got us onto the bus. As well as a bevy of bloggers we were also joined by Tom from Thistle, who were hosting the event - he was thoroughly charming and well able to cope being the only man in the party! The lovely ladies from the bus welcomed us and got us all settled in with orders taken for tea, coffee, or hot chocolate as we headed off on our Sunday adventure.
We spent a good hour or two seeing so much of our fair city and the view, food and company were all sublime. Highlights included the Royal Albert Hall in the sunshine, Marble Arch up close, scones with jam and clotted cream, and an impromptu Backstreet Boys singalong moment. What fun!
Here are a few shots from a funny, sunny day in London.
It was such a beautiful day for a trip! Sunny and warm with the lightest, loveliest breeze.
How cool is the bus! I think the other bus tour customers we passed en route were a little jealous of our tasty tour.
I was sat on a table with the lovely Melanie. She was such super company and totally unafraid to work it in order to get a shot!
My pre-cake face :)
As we were on the road we had our drinks in these cute sippy cups! I totally want one for my commute.

Bloggers love a good camera angle!
