#GeorgeSecretSanta: a festive treat!

Round here, things have been getting majorly Christmassy.  This is my favourite time of year and I need very little provocation when it comes to embracing all things shiny, glittery and fun.  From carols to Christmas trees, Christmas movies to turkey and stuffing sandwiches, I am on board.

Imagine my delight then when the lovely Erica from Talented Talkers contacted me to see if I'd like to take part in a bloggers Secret Santa, sponsored by George at Asda.  The task was simple - names in a hat, then you were each assigned a blogger and asked to choose gifts for them from the gift range at George.  As someone who loves to give gifts and spends too much time on the George site anyway, this was right up my street!  As soon as I got my name (I won't say who as she hasn't posted about her gifts yet!) I eagerly selected her presents and sent them to the Talented Talkers elves to order, wrap, and post out.

Two weeks later, a large parcel from my Secret Santa arrived!

Presents!

Early Christmas presents!

Mad love to the Talented Talkers crew who must have wrapped hundreds of gifts!

Inside my package were a whole range of gifts, and whoever got my name from the hat really hit the nail on the head - I adored my gifts!

A beautiful cream cast iron pot, which I've already used to make a yummy chicken casserole (recipe to follow!).  I've been meaning to get another, smaller pot to use alongside my Staub one, and this little pot is such a great size for a hearty meal for two to four hungry people.  I loved being able to use it on the stove top then just pop it into the oven to finish!

A lovely cat themed cushion...

...and a cosy grey throw.  Perfect for December curling up on the couch.  With three cats.  When I saw the throw I giggled because I'd actually selected it for my giftee too!  So cosy.

Two Christmas decs - one London themed, one country themed (very me!).  I adore my Christmas tree so this was perfect.

And a lovely spiced apple candle.

The throw also makes an excellent hat!

Thank you so much to my Secret Santa - I adored my gifts!  I'm excited to see who was responsible for such excellent picks.  Thank you also to Talented Talkers and George for including me in the fun! Are you guys taking part in any Secret Santas this year?  I'm doing a food bloggers and a Bangarang one too; always fun to get my secret squirrel on!

Note: As always, full disclosure.  I was gifted these items by George as part of their #GeorgeSecretSanta campaign.  all opinions, thoughts, and compulsions to start wearing throws as hats are entirely my own.

Thank you for your comment - I do read them all but it may take me a little while (a couple of days) to respond during busy times. I love reading what you have to say!

Have a wonderful day!
