1. My newsletter
Yep, I've finally set up a newsletter - something I've been meaning to do for a fair old while. I'll be sending out a little note into the universe, every Sunday. If you like to sign up, there's a box in the sidebar on the left, or you can simply click here. I do hope you'll join us!
2. The Last Five Years
A full review to follow, but this show at the St James' Theatre is an utter delight! The cast of two absolutely own the stage and the whole thing is something quite magical.
3. Texts from Christy, about Mariah
Longtime readers of the blog will know that Christy and I have a soft spot for la Diva that is Mariah Carey. So when it was announced that Mariah was unveiling the big Christmas window display in Toronto and performing, Christy naturally went along to pay homage. And sent me texts aplenty so I could experience it for myself. So fun!
4. Christmas fun with Vixie
On Tuesday Vixie and I had a bunch of fun touring some of the Christmas departments in town and catching up while we shopped for gifts and other Christmas fun. It was lovely to catch up and to enjoy some of the marvellous displays in town!
5. Planning trips north
I'm so looking forward to seeing lots of lovely folk in Scotland and the north later this month and next month. It's been way too long!
6. Steak class
On Friday I attended a steak class at the KitchenAid Experience store in town and it was such fun - beautiful appliances (of course), great company, fun cooking, and an impromptu visit from the fire brigade... More on the whole thing soon!
7. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
I always have time for Ty. Shona and I did a three episode mini-marathon yesterday. Tissues were required.
As it was Bonfire weekend, the kits have been in a lot, and enjoying all the extra attention and chicken. We always stay close to home and in on evenings when there are fireworks, and it's so fun to spend time with our little buddies.
9. Silent Disco fun!
On Friday night, Shona and I went to the first ever Silent Disco held in the Royal Albert Hall. Held in the loading bay, down in the bowels of the building, it was film themed and everyone came dressed in different costumes (my favourite was the posse of dalmations - not quite 101, but a lot). Shona and I dressed as nuns, in homage to two of our favourite films, The Sound of Music and Sister Act!
10. Taking a beat
I've been poorly this past weekend, so it has been a weekend of water and lazing. I'm feeling a bit stronger now, but I'm glad it happened at a point where I could take a beat. Downtime is important!
Right, I need to go see a lady about a boat. Have a lovely week, all!
