A patchwork post….

Just a few bits and bobs today…

So here I am at quarter to nine on a Friday night in my dressing gown, drinking tea. Never let it be said that I don’t know how to partay! We broke up for spring break at lunchtime today, and after the usual farewells headed home. I got into bed, read a chapter or two of ‘Twilight’ (I got that and the next book in the series, ‘New Moon’ on offer in the supermarket. I enjoyed the last book I read so much (Eat, Pray, Love) that I wanted something to go straight onto), then fell asleep for three hours, waking at past seven. Bliss. After a blogathon, I may have a bubble bath :).

I am loving the weather we are having here right now. Beautiful sunny days, lighter mornings and longer days, and the clocks “spring” on Sunday morning, making it even more delicious. The dawn chorus outside ghetto flat is getting more impressive each morning, and I’m excited to see all the daffodils in bloom. Don’t you just love cheerful yellow flowers?

I’m so excited it’s spring break! We have three weeks, and I have lots planned! I’m looking forward to going and spoiling the boy next week and popping up to see the lovely Tara too. Mlle Wilson’s coming to visit (when, baby girl?) and Rachel, Fi, Beverley and I have plans for coffees and lunches and runs to the cinema (can you believe I still haven’t seen Slumdog Millionaire yet?). The boy and I are going up to Forres for a few days which should be ace – I’m looking forward to seeing friends and family and the sea and the hills, and meeting my friend Erin’s beautiful baby girl, Mia, for the first time! And on the last weekend of the break it’s GGF, one of the big Join Meets of the year, and then we are with the boy’s family for Easter Sunday. I’m excited to see them again!

As well as all that, I’m looking forward to big sleeps, long walks, and getting a million and one little jobs done!

Speaking of the boy (if he’s reading – hey, baby :-)), after a colleague asked me earlier, I worked out that we’ve been together 6 months now. Jolly moo, when did *that* happen? Six wonderful months, I must add. If you are reading this honey – thank you so much for making me so happy, and just making my already blessed life even more wonderful. You = win.

Hee, he’ll be blushing now. The rest of you can stop barfing, I’m done. 😉

My friend and colleague Sarah left our school today, to move to New Zealand where her clever husband has got a new job. I’d really appreciate it if you’d keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they journey over there and start this wonderful new chapter in their lives. Also, she may be starting a blog – if she does I will link to her so you can read all the fun!

Excitement! I have an Easter Egg with my name on it!!!!! Aw yeah.

On that note, time to close and go have a bath. Then read some more ‘Twilight’. Then go to bed…again. Brilliant!

Thanks for visiting my blog and actually commenting! Just to make you feel better, I haven’t seen Slumdog Millionaire either. Chapel Hill is beautiful always but spring and fall are my favorites! Have a great weekend!
