30 Days of Thankfulness: Faith

Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe.

– Voltaire

I am so thankful for my faith.

It’s not to say I never struggle with it, never question….but I’m so glad it’s there.

That solid feeling that when I pray, someone is listening. That someone believes in me. That I’m here for a purpose. That I am part of something bigger, more beautiful, eternal. I love that. I need that. I want that.

One hymn that always resonates with me is ‘O Lord And Father Of Mankind’. Why? It’s the verse that sings of the ‘still small voice of calm’. In my own personal faith, that still small voice brings so much. I am infinitely blessed to be a child of God.

I'm thankful that I can read this blog, and feel manly when I drink tea.
