Loving Project Life, as ever.
Loving the fact that I’ve stuck at it for so long even more!
Taking a few weeks off from doing a post a day felt really freeing, so now I’m taking more than seven pictures a week and collaging them in….some days produce more photos than others! It’s going to be so neat to have this record of the year, and I so enjoy reading how others are doing with Project Life. linking up with the lovely Jessica, as ever!
On Tuesday, this is the state my boys left the form room in when they left to go to games….I was less than impressed. Lord love them though, after a kind-but-firm note to them all on the board I returned after last period with Year 6 to a lovely neat room. They are such good badgers!
On Friday, my new toy arrived 🙂 I’ve been umming and ahhing about getting a better camera for ages, and I finally bit the bullet and bought something a bit zippy-er. Lots of weddings and picnics and fun to photograph this year!
The beautiful Christy bought this for us as a housewarming gift – isn’t it adorable? Such a thoughtful present! It also got here super speedily – three days from Canada = winning!
I really do love my fake hipster glasses. Here I am lesson planning them while wearing them on Sunday. It’s the little things!
Friday snack this week was ‘Leyton Mess’ (recipe to follow!) – the boys very much enjoyed the portion of the recipe which involved me putting several meringues into a freezer bag and smashing said meringues into smithereens. Hee!
Leyton Mess (with choc chips. Because it was Friday).
While unpacking, I found the dictionary which had seen me through GCSE, Higher, and university level English. This vocab list was paperclipped in the front. I’ve always loved a good, long, chewy, expressive word.
Smash Hits stickers on my French dictionary. Old School! Literally 😉
I love that my handwriting has barely changed in nineteen years. I would tote this book to and from the boarding house to practice every day.
Sunday brought with it a lovely girldate with Siobhán, for tea and shopping! We spent lots of time in John Lewis (*happy sigh*), and I was very restrained and bought neither the awesome picnic set nor the amazing (but very, very expensive) badger pillow. I did buy some lovely new cushions for the sitting room though, and Siobhán bought a gorgeous dress. So looking forward to her hen do next weekend!
Aforementioned pretty dress, with aforementioned pretty girl!
Welcome to Leyton, and our spray-painted-over swimsuit ads.
Wednesday was sushi with the lovely Eileen and a good old catch up. Love having such awesome girlfriends! We chatted about work (ours), houses (mine) and weddings (hers).
Another fabby week – how was yours?
