Linking up with the lovely Jessica, as ever. From this week I’m getting back to the post-a-day setup, but last week’s events were very much house based, so I thought doing a page about our new nest was a good plan – it’s very much the focus at the mo, anyway. All these pics were taken Sunday evening, and I’ll do another spread in a couple of days to see what progress we may have made! We’re getting there, but feathering a nest takes time!
This is our front room. Can you believe my clever boy built these sofas? The joys of narrow terrace doorways. The front of our sitting room is all sorted and comfy now – sofas, shelves, TV, table….the back, as you can see, is still a bit of a box bonanza! That will be where we put the cross-trainer and exercise bike – very excited for those to arrive!
I’m making fair progress in my study (a.k.a. the Claire Lair!). Still loving those cheery yellow walls, and am very proud of my Billy building. Now I just have to fill the shelves with books!
Our dining room now has a dining room set! Two tables and eight chairs – I can’t wait to get entertaining! I love how much light our kitchen gets from the garden (glimpsed through the doorway).
Matthew’s study – he’s making pretty good progress! Love all the blues in this room.
The time at which I now leave the house each morning (or at least, the time I try to leave the house each morning!). Yawn.
Our room. We still have a mismatched bed and wonky wardrobes, but it’s still a calm haven. We have an awesome mattress so sleeping is far too easy!
Some of the stuffed toy gang on their new bench (built by me). Matthew’s the king of Ikea furniture building, but I’m developing some okay skills for a newbie.
By the time I get home tonight, this should all (hopefully) have been collected! So much packaging! Matthew did a blinding jobs squishing this down last night for recycling and disposal – you can actually see the floor in this room now!
More boxes! A.k.a. Saturday’s project.
Blessed to have space to put things while we shuffle everything around!
So that’s how the house is going – love that Project Life means I’ll be able to remember this special season in all its trying wonder! Looking forward to seeing other peoples’ pages.
