Well hello there, dear friends!

How are you?

I do hope this missive finds you well and being treated well by 2013 so far.  Isn’t it strange to think that Christmas was a mere hop, skip and jump ago?  Seems like millennia have passed since then, and here in East London we are well and truly back in the game, back on the treadmill, back with noses to the grindstone.

Or rather, I should say, the humans are – we cats were most fastidious at keeping to our busy schedule of napping, relaxing, eating, chasing leaves and being adored throughout the Christmas break.  Ah, the demands of being one of the higher species.

Claire and Matthew are both working away and seem to be as busy as ever.  Luckily, the colder weather means they are quite apt to stay in with us during the evenings, which means lots of attention and fusses for cats!  They are also entertaining more at home, it seems, which also means more visitors are coming to pay homage.

Matthew and Claire are also trying to get healthier (not a problem we have, being naturally healthy and beautiful), which seems to involve an inordinate amount of activity, but also plenty of fish and chicken, which I wholeheartedly applaud.  We are being sure to help them out with the meat, in order to assist with portion sizes.

So tell me, dearest companions, how are you?  How is your January progressing?  Do you have any resolutions, like our humans?

Unfortunately one of the humans in our house is a vegan, so there is that much less turkey to swipe – I mean share. Suggestions?- Vasil P. McNut

Do your humans ever order food online? I'm a great fan of the 'increase number of meat products' jape!- Fry Zanzibar
