Aria Las Vegas 2018

We’ve been going to Las Vegas for several years now. We fell for the glitz and glamour of the place hook, line and sinker when we visited as part of our honeymoon, and we tend to get over there as often as holiday allowances, commitments and time allows. And when we do, we always try to stay at the Aria, which is just the most beautiful hotel! I’ve written about our stays at the Aria before, here and here, but each visit brings different delights, so I wanted to write up our 2018 trip too!

We went to Las Vegas over the February half-term break, spending half of the trip in the Downtown/Fremont Street area and the rest on the Strip at the Aria. Brilliantly, we managed to time our visit for both Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year, so the decorations were amazing!

The florals in the Sky Suites are always on point, and I adored everything they’d done for the occasion.

I spent a silly amount of time in this spa bath, sipping fizz and watching Bravo. I love a bath at the best of times, and a spa size bath in a gorgeous bathroom in Las Vegas is certainly the best of times.

As the hotel was so busy for the holiday we didn’t get our usual King size bed in the suite (haha, don’t worry, that isn’t a complaint – that would be the very definition of a first world problem!), but instead two comfy Queens (I’d totally watch a show called Two Comfy Queens, by the way). Worked out brilliantly, with his and hers lending a very 1950s Hays Code vibe.

This little sitting room was the perfect spot to unwind between shows, gambling, and cocktails. I had a very happy afternoon curled up with a bunch of magazines and some Starbucks (which you can order from the in-room tablet and pop down to collect. Witchcraft!).

I told you the florals were gorgeous! Loved the little (and not so little!) touches everywhere!

We seem to be making our way around the building when it comes to the Sky Suites – we’ve had Strip side, corner, and mountain side. The sunsets in the west were heaven each evening while we changed for dinner.

I need the lighting in the bathroom mirrors to just follow me around in life, please.

It was so fun checking out all the little details around the hotel.

At 15-17 degrees each day it was pleasant enough for walking and being out and about, but still a little too chilly for the pool. We want to go in spring next year or 2020 (so weird to type that!) when we will be living that #cabanalife.

The views were just as vast by day.

Details everywhere, and delicious cocktails too! We had some great meals, drinks and snacks this visit. We also sampled the buffet for the first time which was brilliant – definitely one of the best I’ve sampled in Vegas!

Another gorgeous stay at the Aria done. We will definitely be returning to a hotel that feels like (a very snazzy, high-end) home.
